LA Clippers: A Season in Review
2015-16: A Year of Ups and Downs
The 2015-16 season was a rollercoaster for the Los Angeles Clippers. After finishing 56-26 and finishing second in the NBA Pacific Division, many expected the Clippers to make a deep run in the playoffs. However, they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round in five games.
Roster and Stats
The Clippers' roster was led by Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan. Paul averaged 19.5 points, 11.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game, while Griffin averaged 21.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Jordan averaged 12.4 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game.
Despite their impressive regular season record, the Clippers struggled in the playoffs. They were eliminated by the Trail Blazers in the second round in five games.
Offseason Moves
Following the disappointing playoff exit, the Clippers made several offseason moves. They traded Jeff Green to the Memphis Grizzlies for Lance Stephenson and traded Spencer Hawes to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Plumlee.
The Clippers are hoping that these moves will help them get over the hump and make a deep run in the playoffs next season.
