Jennifer Aniston Breaks Silence on Decision to Not Have Children
"I Tried To Get Pregnant"
The 55-Year-Old Actress Opens Up About Her Fertility Journey
After nearly two decades of speculation and assumptions, Jennifer Aniston is breaking her silence on why she chose not to have children.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 52-year-old reflects on the tabloid scrutiny she's faced as a public figure. "I've been so shamed," she says. "It's like, 'Oh, you didn't have children, so you're not a woman.'"
Aniston reveals that she underwent IVF and tried everything she could to conceive. "I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road," she says.
"All the years and years of speculation... it was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it," she adds.
Despite the challenges, Aniston says she has no regrets about her decision not to have children. "I actually feel a little relieved now because there is no more, 'Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.'"
"I don't have that anymore," she says. "So I feel like something has lifted off me."
