USA defeats Puerto Rico in Olympic basketball, takes Group C top seed

The United States men's basketball team defeated Puerto Rico 104-83 on Wednesday to finish atop Group C and earn the top seed in the knockout round of the 2024 Olympics.
The Americans were led by Kevin Durant, who scored 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting. Jayson Tatum added 19 points, and Bam Adebayo had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Puerto Rico was led by Jose Alvarado, who scored 23 points. Tremont Waters added 17 points, and Gian Clavell had 15 points.
The United States will face the fourth-place team from Group D in the quarterfinals. Puerto Rico will face the third-place team from Group D.
